Seven years ago today we opened our first class at the Southwest Regional Jail with two fantastic Instructors, Kate Boyer and Debra Watson. At today’s graduation we celebrated 252 GED graduates in that seven year period and 30 GED graduates this program year.
Our graduation speaker today was Rachel Sorrell, a 1999 GED graduate. Her address was frank, honest and uplifting. The inmates accepted and respected what she had to say.
This is one of those days that we work all year to enjoy. We just had to share this with everyone.
