Meet Hannah Mallory, an instructor at the Vandiver building in Coeburn, VA. Currently, she is helping facilitate one of our three digital classroom sites.
Hannah has been serving with RACE1 for one year this year, helping students to sharpen their math skills.
“My FAVORITE part about teaching adult education is helping students become more comfortable in the area of math. So many people come to me claiming that they ‘aren’t a math person.’ I live for seeing those ‘light bulb moments’ and watching my students go from hating math to saying ‘it’s not so bad after all,‘“ says Mallory.
Her advice to students? “Don’t give up, and don’t let anything come between you and achieving your goals. You’re capable of far more than you think you are!”
