Meet Jane Bowlin, our lead educator at the Pioneer Center in Duffield and a team teacher for evening classes at our Gate City site. Jane is also helping current students to continue their education through online instruction in one of our Google classrooms.
Jane is a retired high school guidance counselor and has served as an adult educator for 15 years.
She encourages her students to set goals and helps them achieve them. “As a teacher, it is always gratifying when a student reaches a goal that was once thought to be unattainable,” Jane says.
“‘For many, balancing work, everyday life, and family obligations while studying for a GED can be quite a challenge, but you can do it.’ After all, we are all lifelong learners.”
