Heard the expression for new parents ‘sleep when the baby sleeps’? That’s not what Kirstyn Fogarty has been doing these last couple of months. Instead, Kirstyn is taking advantage of RACE1’s online instruction and she’s working to finish her GED.
Kirstyn has always wanted to finish her GED so she can get a good job to help provide for her son. Currently, she works on her coursework when her 9-month-old son naps, or when he goes to bed. “It is challenging for sure, balancing the needs of my son, plus working on my school, but it’s worth it for sure. You really need this (GED) to get to important places”.
