The three characteristics I need to be a good employee.
There are three characteristics that I feel are important to have in order to be a good employee. In order to be a good employee I will have to have a good demeanor. I will have to be dedicated to do the work that I am assigned to do. I will have to have a good personal appearance so that I won’t make a bad first impression.
Having respect for the customers and employees is one of the major things that I need. I will need to be kind to the customers because if I am not then I may get fired from my job. Another thing that may be bad for the company is that the customers may not come back if I have a negative attitude towards them. Having a respectful friendly demeanor is a very important characteristic.
To be dedicated to do the work that I am assigned, I have to depend on myself to do the job. I will want other employees to depend on me to come in on time. I can’t slack off and come in when I want. I will have to work the full amount of hours that are scheduled. I would like for the employees to trust me. In order to gain their trust, I will have to be honest, and trustworthy towards them.
`Having a good personal appearance could help me get a good steady job. To have a good personal appearance I have to be clean and well groomed. I will need to dress nicely when I go in for an interview, and later on at the job. This will help me make a good first impression. I also will need to have good personal hygiene. I won’t need the attention that I would be getting if I went into work smelling bad. The employees and employers may not want me to be working there if I stink.
Therefore, I have to be dedicated, trustworthy, honest, and dependable. I will have to have a good personal appearance. I will have to have to be clean and have good personal hygiene. I will have to respect customers, employers and my fellow employees. If I incorporate all of these characteristics then I will be a good employee.
